Sexie Coffie
Sexie Coffie is our favourite stop when we drive to Bundaberg. Sexie Coffie is a retrofitted McDonalds restaurant that now sells it’s own brand of good coffee to passing motorists. The building provides a good clean and solid infrastructure of toilets, kitchen, drive through facilities etc, though we always walk in to stretch our legs.

Instead of greasy fries and Big Macs you can get a good coffee with a piece of cake. Coffee roasting is done on site and from their shop you can take away with you a bag of coffee, souvenir trinkets or items like plungers.

Good to see an old failed Macca’s put to good use. It must be a winner idea just from the fact that Macca’s now have set-up coffee shops in many of their more successful restaurants over here.

Hi Gourmet Tarts. I just wanted to thank you for submitting this article on our Business. We strive to ensure that Sexie Coffie is that little bit different than other coffee shops/cafes and we certainly get a buzz when we find it appreciated. Please do not hesitate to introduce yourself next time you are in as i would love to shout you a coffee and show you around.

Sexie Coffie is owned and run by my son-in-law Jasen Barrie. Thank you for your review - it summed up what I think is so good about the experience of stopping at Sexie Coffie. I wondered about the name when Jasen established the business but I think it is now seen for what it is ; a typically Aussie “cheeky” dig at convention that does not put off the ladies of the Maryborough Bible reading group meeting there on Sundays for a coffee and “bikkie”. Overall it offers a wholesome experience that many of the big names in the fast food industry would be wise to study and try to emulate!
